Sustainability: How 3 Large Local Institutions Have Taken on the Challenges

Join SWEP of Greater Philadelphia in Penn’s brand new, LEED gold, state-of the art nanotechnology center, to learn from those on the front lines of driving sustainability at large locally based institutions.  Dan Garofalo, Linda Froelich and Dawn Rittenhouse, will present the evolution of integrating sustainability into their organizations; the mission, path, progress and challenges.  They will describe how sustainability impacts and is impacted by key aspects of their organization such as strategic direction, operations, systems, processes, supply chain interaction.  

You will also hear about how they are handling topics on the edge of change such as:  Sophisticated tools now being used to assist with robust metric tracking and analysis, including Life Cycle Analysis. The Global Reporting Initiative [GRI] materiality focus and transition to G4. Dealing with limited natural, human and financial resources while driving change and engaging stakeholders to spur social and economic progress.   There will be opportunity for questions and group dialogue and to tour the building after the program.
