Meet the leaders in the brownfield and sustainability industries at the Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop hosted by Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast at NJIT on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

You will learn about the latest trends in sustainable communities.  There are educational sessions addressing a wide variety of important topics, such as international best practices for resiliency and climate change, balancing waterfront redevelopment and ecological concerns, developing living shorelines, using energy hubs as a catalyst for brownfield development, engaging the community and mitigating environmental and social threats associated with brownfields, utilizing multi-disciplinary approaches to stormwater on brownfield sites, updates on hot regulatory topics, and urban agriculture and green infrastructure.  Beginners and experts alike can find opportunities to gain information and knowledge useful to them in their own practice, project, or profession.

NSCW is the only regional brownfield conference in the area. And with the regional representation: you will meet speakers and participants who hail from CT, NY, NJ, and PA and beyond!  You will meet leaders in the industry and government, providing a great opportunity to connect with and learn from the experts.

NSCW has speakers from near and far, from academia to industry to government, who will provide a wealth of information.  Confirmed speakers include Pernille Anderson, Managing Technical & Environmental Director for the City of Copenhagen; Bethann Rooney, Assistant Director Port Commerce Department of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Bob Schick, Division Director of NYSDEC, Brian Berson, Vice President of Development of Brandywine Realty Trust, and many more.  Check out the agenda here!

Past events have been attended by representatives from government, community groups, higher education, professional organizations, and laboratories, as well as attorneys, developers, contractors, and consultants. This is an event that you don't want to miss.  Please share with your colleagues.

So please join us at NJIT, Newark, NJ on March 16, 2016 for what promises to be an extraordinary event.
