    The NJDEP Regulatory Update

    May 4, 2017

    (NOTE: Date Change)

    9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

(Note: Presentations will begin at 9:30 AM)

The New Jersey Society for Women Environmental Professionals (“NJSWEP”) is pleased to announce that our incredibly popular keystone event the “NJDEP Regulatory Update” is returning to Trenton this May.  This year we are again partnering with the Brownfields Coalition of the Northeast (“BCONE”), who will be co-hosting the event with us.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (“NJDEP”) implements regulations and policies, which frequently evolve as priorities change. This one-day workshop will keep you abreast of the NJDEP’s priorities and plans, as well as the status of existing programs, updates, and proposed legislative changes that are key to NJDEP programs.  NJDEP Assistant Commissioners (or their designees) from programs including Environmental Management, Water Resources, Site Remediation, Compliance and Enforcement, and Sustainability and Green Energy, have been invited to present on current and emerging topics.

“Driving Revitalization Sustainably: identifying sustainable goals and strategies for revitalizing their communities and brownfields"

    March 15, 2017 - CANCELLED
    7:30 AM - 6:30 PM

New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ

The premier metropolitan workshop on identifying sustainable goals and strategies for revitalizing communities and brownfields

Now in its 8th year, the Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast (BCONE) will be hosting the Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop (NSCW) 2017 at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark, New Jersey on March 15, 2017.  The conference brings together experts and attendees to discuss the most current and state of the art approaches and strategies that you will not hear anywhere else.  Our past events have been attended by representatives from government, higher education, professional organizations, and laboratories, as well as attorneys, developers, contractors, and consultants.

The NSCW's goal is to break new ground, offer new ideas, and posit new concepts on the topics of sustainability, collaboration and leverage, contamination, resiliency, brownfields, technology, and their impact on community revitalization.  NSCW is like no other conference you've attended. PowerPoint presentations are sparse and image-only; speakers are concise, yet informative; and, there is plenty of time in each session for dialogue between attendees, speakers, and moderators. Save the Date – March 15, 2017 -  to join us and be a part of the conversation.
