Founded in 1994, SWEP has embraced the mission of personal and professional development of women in the Environmental professions. Through networking opportunities, student outreach and information exchange our goal is to expand the influence of women in environmental business, law, policy, and science.
New Jersey SWEP Chapter meetings are a forum for discussion of issues experienced by our Women Professionals. Other membership benefits include periodic news updates, regular seminars, opportunities for self-promotion and corporate promotion, networking luncheons, and mentoring opportunities.
"SWEP has been invaluable in encouraging women to enter the engineering field and in helping women remain in the field through supportive membership programs."
~ Lisa P. Jackson, former Commissioner of the NJDEP and Obama Adminstration member
