2026 NJDEP Regulatory Update (Rescheduled) (18 Aug 2026)

this event has been RESCHEDULED for Tuesday, August 18, 2026

The Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast (BCONE) and NJSWEP are pleased to announce that our incredibly popular keystone event the “NJDEP Regulatory Update” will be held in Trenton this August.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) implements regulations and policies, which frequently evolve as priorities change. This one-day workshop will keep attendees informed about the NJDEP’s priorities and plans, as well as the status of existing programs, updates, and proposed legislative changes that are key to NJDEP programs.

NJDEP Assistant Commissioners from all programs will be present, including Contaminated Site Remediation and Redevelopment (CSRR), Sustainable Waste Management, Watershed and Land Management, Air, Energy, and Materials Sustainability, Water Resources Management, and Community Investment and Economic Revitalization Projects and Funding Opportunities.

Continuing Education Credits:

We received approval from the The New Jersey Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board (“SRPL Board”) for 5.0 LSRP Regulatory Credits = NJSRPLB Course Number 2026-027.

Registration:

NJSWEP and BCONE Members: $25 (registration code to be provided to BCONE Members)
Government Professionals/Students/Academics/Non-Profit Employees who want credits: $25

Food:

Breakfast and drinks are provided. Lunch is not provided at the event. While there is a cafeteria space at the NJDEP, it is recommended that you bring lunch.

Last Day to Register:

Registration and payment must be received by August 11, 2026. Walk-in registrations will NOT be accepted due to NJDEP security requirements.

Parking:

Recommended at the Station Plaza Parking Garage (entrance on S. Clinton Ave). Other options include daily parking lots or street meter parking. Parking cost is the responsibility of the registrant and is not included with event registration.

This presentation will provide an overview of chemical remedial technologies, the strengths and limitations, lessons learned and future planning. It is geared toward new professionals in the industry and those who are involved with site investigation and remediation. Following the presentation, the webinar will open for questions & answers. This educational webinar is free for NJSWEP members.
